Allan Mugabi is a Principal Engineer in the Directorate of Water Development at the Ministry of Water and Environment in Uganda. Allan has over 20 years of comprehensive experience and has a robust academic and professional background in civil and water engineering, construction law, and public-sector management. Allan holds a Master of Science in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom, a Master’s in Business Administration in Public Sector Management from Uganda Management Institute, and a Master’s degree in International Land and Water Management from Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Building Engineering from Makerere University.
Allan’s professional focus includes implementing water supply and faecal sludge management systems, and he has served as a party representative on numerous infrastructure projects involving construction-related disputes and is a key resource for construction law-related matters. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE), the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) and the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF).
